The Look: Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2009/10 Collection

Diane von Furstenberg has packed plenty of punch into her fun and color infused resort 2010 collection. We are loving the colors and cuts and this remains as one of our favorite resort collections to date. Her dresses are cut short and sensual, some with one shoulder, and we love the color scheme of tropical hues.  

Divided We Stand

As I walked into H&M Eaton centre last Tuesday I was taken back by a new section featured on the Divided sales floor. H&M has introduced a divided exclusive line in limited quantities and I must say I am very impressed. Perhaps H&M is feeling the economic pressure or the pressure to step it up in terms of fashion but regardless we will be shopping this new collection. My personal favorite is the 80's inspired leather cuff with studded silver detailing. 

These images are a sneak preview of the fall 09 collection. This 80's inspired collection defiantly has some hints of Alexander Wang, Balenciaga and Balmain.

Line Sheet

This was by far one of my favorite projects I have ever worked on. This was done is semester one of my second year. Our challenge was to design a line from inspiration to line sheet. I love the name of this line and all of the images used. 

Wildfox Fall2009 lookbook

The L.A based, vintage inspired line Wildfox Couture has just released there fall09 lookbook and we are loving it. This "down-n-dirty" slumber party makes us want to break out our red lipstick and sheer tanks and pair them with our high waisted shorts. 

Vena Cava & Alexander Wang's Gap Collaboration Revealed

Here are some of the first photo's from the Vena Cava for Gap collaboration. Were loving the amazing khaki dress with exposed front zip detail. Sophie and Lisa have proved that they can work wonders with boring khaki material like no other.

Also, presenting the Alexander Wang pieces below. We must say that we are underwhelmed by this collection and are more excited for the Vena Cava collection. Will you check out the collection in stores on June 16?

Victoria Beckham Spends 1.5million on Berkin bags

What rescission? An American financial website has just reveled that V.Beckham has spent over 1.5 million on Hermes Berkin bags. The waiting list which opens for only one to two days annually is up to four years long for your most basic canvas Berkin bag that will run you a cool $4000-. Posh has quite the extensive collection as she has bagged one in every color and configuration ever created. Of her most elaborate bags is the one encrusted with a three-carat diamond, which costs a cool $80,000. I would love to have just one let alone posh's extensive collection.

The Cannes film festival is the worlds most influential and prestigious film festival held in cannes annually. Here are a few of my best dressed pics thus far.

Lauren Conrad presents L.A Candy

Weather you love her or love to hate her Lauren Conrad has proved that she is here to stay. Lauren Conrad has just published her debut novel entitled LA Candy. The book available June 16 but teen vogue is offering a sneak peak and special excerpts of the book. Our feeling after reading this is that she should just stick to what she does best- not so reality TV.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a three day annual music festival, the event features many genres of music including alternative rock, hip hop and electronic music. This year it celebrated its tenth birthday and here are a few of my most fashionable picks.

Fashion Insider: The Model as Muse at the MET

This new exhibit is defiantly on my must see list. The Metropolitan Museum of Art is holding a new exhibit, The Model as Muse: Embodying fashion, which focuses on iconic models and their roles in projecting, and sometimes inspiring, the fashion and their respective eras. The exhibit examines a timeline of fashion from 1947 to 1997. The exhibit will officially be unveiled on May 6, 2009 and runs until August 9, 2009.  

"You look at those women and you understand what it meant to be modern in that time," said historian and co-curator Kohle Yohannan.
